May Critical Mass
The next Critical Mass is coming up fast, and I would like to propose a theme: business attire! Why? Well, why not? As a show of solidarity to the office commuters, and because riding around in a suit is kinda fun. Wardrobe can be found for cheap at Salvation Army, Value Village, and other friperie joints.
A reminder of safety guidelines for any first-timers:
- Stay in the direction of traffic! That means sticking to one side of a two-way street, and not taking one-way streets in the wrong direction. This caused us a lot of grief in March; less so in April, so I think most people are catching on.
- Stick together! Keep a slow pace, and don't let anyone fall behind. Keeping things tight prevents cars from getting mixed up in the ride, which can only cause problems.
- Have fun, be polite, and keep a cool head! Don't let yourself get sucked into an argument with an angry driver; unnecessary confrontations can ruin a ride. If they do something dangerous, tell the cops.
See you all in a few days!
